A Note to You So-Called “Moderate Republicans” Out There

If you support the policies of the Tea Party – you are NOT a “moderate Republican.” You are part of the most extreme, reactionary, racist and bigoted faction to ever invade – and stink up – the Congress of the United States of America.

And if I block you on Twitter, well, hey, man up and deal with it. And then re-think your political loyalties.

ahhh, you hurt their itty-bitty feelings … Hurrah!
Someone has to hold the mirror up – they certainly don’t see the error of their ways otherwise.
    Nicely done Leftside Annie!

I’m not trying to hurt anyone’s feelings. I am trying to get these people who still believe that there is such a thing as “moderation” in a party filled with homophobes, haters, bigots, racists, corporate greedheads and people who want to tax seniors and poor people and steal the bread out of the mouths of hungry children that they’re just effin’ delusional and that if they’re not one of the top 2% in this country – they’re NOTHING to these people — just like the rest of us.

  2. I have maintained that I do not believe the Republican Party itself is racist, bigoted, homophobic or xenophobic, but that their message appeals to racists, bigots, homophobes and xenophobes. And I still believe that’s true.

But the Tea Party faction of the party IS racist, bigoted, homophobic and xenophobic. And for the Republican Party to kowtow to them and cave in to their demands makes them no better than the Tea Party.

But I think the main reason the Republicans cave into the Tea Party is because the tea Party is not a “grassroots movement”, but just the latest form of government manipulation conducted by the Koch Brothers and their ilk. Pleasing the Tea Party means pleasing the Koch Brothers, which is why the Republicans cave into this minority. (I think I’ll tweet that as soon as I finish this comment. 🙂 )

I agree with you, Wayne. In Nazi Germany, there were Germans who, I’m sure, were absolutely appalled by the goings-on of the Nazi party – and a lot of them stood by and let it happen, or made noises to make it seem like they belonged.

Republicans like Boehner and the other old timers in Congress (Hatch, Snowe, etc.) are doing the same: going along to get along. They should be fighting tooth and nail for what used to be REAL Republican values. But they aren’t. They’re gutless wonders trying to be vewwy, vewwy quiet while the lunatics are rampaging all over the asylum. It’s disgusting – there are a number of Democrats I’d describe this same way.

Today, when someone tells me they’re a Republican, my immediate thought is, “Greedy liar until proven otherwise.”

Sorry, but it’s come to that.
